Sarah is a recent UC Davis graduate who wrote her honors thesis on seed-eating wildlife at Quail Ridge Reserve. Her project, "Picky Eaters: Wildlife show preference between acorns in an oak-dominated ecosystem," used weekly camera trap surveys to show that deer and birds had a preference for red oaks, while squirrels preferred white oaks. She presented her work at the Ecological Society of America meeting in Long Beach this August!
