Sarah is a recent UC Davis graduate who wrote her honors thesis on seed-eating wildlife at Quail Ridge Reserve. Her project, "Picky Eaters: Wildlife show preference between acorns in an oak-dominated ecosystem," used camera trap surveys to show that deer and birds had a preference for red oaks, while squirrels preferred white oaks. She presented her work at the Ecological Society of America meeting in Long Beach in August 2024! You can view her poster abstract here.
